Hata Wafilisti waliposikia ya kuwa wana wa Israeli wamekusanyika huko Mispa, mashehe wa Wafilisti walipanda juu ili kupigana na Israeli. Nao wana wa Israeli waliposikia, wakawaogopa Wafilisti.
