Hekima umeijenga nyumba yake, Amezichonga nguzo zake saba; Mithali 9:1

Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.

Amechinja nyama zake, umechanganya divai yake, Ameiandalia meza yake pia. Mithali 9:2

She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.

Amewatuma wajakazi wake, analia, Mahali pa mjini palipoinuka sana, Mithali 9:3

She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:

Kila aliye mjinga na aingie humu. Tena amwambia mtu aliyepungukiwa na akili, Mithali 9:4

"Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!" As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,

Njoo ule mkate wangu, Ukanywe divai niliyoichanganya. Mithali 9:5

"Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!

Enyi wajinga, acheni ujinga, mkaishi, Mkaende katika njia ya ufahamu. Mithali 9:6

Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding."

Amkemeaye mwenye dharau hujipatia fedheha; Amkaripiaye mtu mbaya hujipatia aibu. Mithali 9:7

He who corrects a mocker invites insult. He who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.

Usimkaripie mwenye dharau, asije akakuchukia; Mkaripie mwenye hekima, naye atakupenda. Mithali 9:8

Don't reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise man, and he will love you.

Mwelimishe mwenye hekima, naye atazidi kuwa na hekima; Mfundishe mwenye haki, naye atazidi kuwa na elimu; Mithali 9:9

Instruct a wise man, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.

Kumcha Bwana ni mwanzo wa hekima; Na kumjua Mtakatifu ni ufahamu. Mithali 9:10

The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Maana, kwa msaada wangu siku zako zitazidishwa; Na miaka ya maisha yako itaongezwa. Mithali 9:11

For by me your days will be multiplied. The years of your life will be increased.

Kama una hekima, una hekima kwa nafsi yako; Na kama una dharau, utaichukua peke yako. Mithali 9:12

If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.

Mwanamke mpumbavu hupiga kelele, Ni mjinga, hajui kitu. Mithali 9:13

The foolish woman is loud, Undisciplined, and knows nothing.

Hukaa mlangoni pa nyumba yake, Juu ya kiti mahali pa mjini palipoinuka, Mithali 9:14

She sits at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city,

Apate kuwaita wapitao njiani, Waendao moja kwa moja katika njia zao. Mithali 9:15

To call to those who pass by, Who go straight on their ways,

Kila aliye mjinga na aingie humu. Tena amwambia mtu aliyepungukiwa na akili, Mithali 9:16

"Whoever is simple, let him turn in here." As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,

Maji yaliyoibiwa ni matamu, Na mkate ulioliwa kwa siri hupendeza. Mithali 9:17

"Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret is pleasant."

Lakini huyo hajui ya kuwa wafu wamo humo; Ya kuwa wageni wake wamo chini kuzimuni. Mithali 9:18

But he doesn't know that the dead are there, That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
